I am Sergi Gomez, a freelance professional working in programming and photography. Born in 1980 in Barcelona, I am a father of one and a true enthusiast of my areas of interest, especially everything that is unique and unconventional. My curiosity ignites when I discover new techniques or tools, driving me to research and delve deeply into these subjects. I feel completely fulfilled when, after a deep understanding, I prepare myself for the next challenge.
With a university education in multimedia design and photography, my professional journey reflects a unique combination of these two disciplines. Around 2010, I co-founded Noupunt 360, a pioneering project in 360 photography and gigaphotography. This stage was crucial, as I began blending the worlds of photography and programming, incorporating languages like JavaScript and frameworks like krpano to create unique and interactive visual experiences.
My interest in photography expanded in 2015, exploring macro and extreme macro photography, as well as other specialized photographic techniques. I designed my own devices with motors, rails, and Arduino programming for these projects. In 2018, I completed a specialization in scientific photography at the University of Alcalá de Henares.
Parallel to my photographic career, I continued to develop my career as a web developer. To delve deeper into this field, I pursued a postgraduate degree in full stack web technologies. My professional journey has been a constant blend of the worlds of programming and imaging.
Currently, although I am highly focused on programming, I feel most complete when I can combine these two worlds. With the advent of the new era of artificial intelligence, I have found a new field of interest that sparks my desire for knowledge and to create innovative projects, merging my experience in programming and photography with the latest trends in AI.
